Ciklus „Igra“, kojem pripada i ovo delo, predstavlja vrhunac njegovog stvaralaštva. Kroz prepoznatljiv slikarski jezik, snažan kolorit i simboličke forme, Salihamidžić gradi poetski i imaginativni svet koji ga svrstava među najautentičnije autore jugoslovenske moderne druge polovine XX veka.
Nysret Salihamixhiqi (1931–2011) is regarded as one of the most important figures of modern art in Kosovo and a pioneer of contemporary artistic expression in the former Yugoslavia. He graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade and spent more than four decades teaching at the Faculty of Arts in Pristina, where he educated generations of artists.
The “Game” series, to which this work belongs, represents the pinnacle of his artistic achievement. Through a distinctive visual language, vibrant colour, and symbolic forms, Salihamixhiqi created a poetic and imaginative world that places him among the most original artists of the second half of the twentieth century in the region.
His works are held in museum and gallery collections, including the National Gallery of Kosovo, as well as in numerous important private collections.
